The paper is one of five research papers commissioned by the First Nations Addictions Advisory Panel (<abbr title=\"First Nations Addictions Advisory Panel\">FNAAP<\/abbr>), the national committee of First Nations and other addiction professionals that have been tasked with developing a Renewed Program Framework for On-reserve Addiction services by December of 2010.<\/p>\n<p>The research paper authors, Dr. Rod McCormick and Darryl Quantz, carried out a literature review, as well as a set of key informant interviews which involved <abbr title=\"National Native Alcohol and Drug Abuse Program\">NNADAP<\/abbr> staff.
